Free Talk ‘Why Meditate?’ Friday 11 Oct
Meditation is a simple, effective method to calm the mind and to let go of stress, tension and worry.
During this free event you will learn two simple kinds of breathing meditation that you can do anytime to quieten your mind. The teacher will also give a short talk on the many benefits of meditation, explain what meditation actually is and how we can get started with a regular meditation practice that brings good results.
We are delighted to be able to offer this free meditation event and a follow up subsidised meditation workshop in Keith this autumn. Supported by the national Mental Health and Well-Being Fund we aim to empower people with tools for greater happiness & well-being at a community level.
There will be refreshments & time to ask questions at the end. The meditations will be done seated in chairs.
