A free meditation workshop
During this special free evening workshop at the Mareel you will be guided in deeply calming meditations to soothe and calm your body and mind so that you sleep deeply and live lightly all week long.
Our life is always changing. It never remains the same even for an instant, and every moment is completely fresh and new. Through simple guided meditation we can learn how to relax, rest our mind and be at peace in the present moment. We can let go of the past, stop worrying about the future and find a joy and happiness that is very healing and nourishing for both body and mind.
This relaxing evening meditation workshop will emphasise a gradual deepening through meditation and practical ways to let go of stress, tension and other negative states of mind. As these are the very same things that often hold us back in our everyday lives, the benefit of the workshop can continue into the days that follow. We can learn to enjoy living lightly each day, acting with intention and sleeping easily and deeply each night.
A free-to-attend meditation workshop led by Buddhist nun and experienced meditation teacher, Gen Kelsang Tubchen from Kadampa Meditation Centre, Aberdeen. Supported by the Shetland Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.

Gen Kelsang Tubchen is the Resident Teacher at KMC Aberdeen. An inspiring and gifted teacher who ordained as a Buddhist nun in 2003, she is loved for her warm heart, her caring attitude and her clear, powerful and practical teachings.
