Mantras and Malas – 6 Oct
Sunday 6 October 2pm – 6pm
Ever wondered what mantras are and how to make or use a set of prayer beads?
Enjoy a peaceful Sunday afternoon with us, where we’ll combine teachings, guided meditations and the traditional art of mala-making so that you have your own 108-bead mala to take home with you.
We will begin with a peaceful guided meditation and short teaching on the meaning and purpose of mantras. Then we can enjoy the peace of concentration as we thread our mala, choosing the beads and colours that we wish to use for our own personal set of prayer beads. After everyone has completed making their malas, in the final session, you will learn how to bless and use your mala. Then you should have everything you need to begin using your mala to deepen your spiritual practice through regular mantra recitation. This will improve your peace of mind, create real inner protection and help you to deepen your compassion and wisdom.
(All beads and craft equipment provided).
Everyone welcome.
