Be Kind to Your Mind

Do you feel sometimes you could take better care of your inner world?  Would you like to cope better or feel more relaxed?

As part of our commitment to mental health and well-being we are delighted to be hosting this open day at our meditation centre in Aberdeen.

Come along to find out how you can get started with meditation, how to build in regular time for quiet meditation as part of caring for your own mind or how to take your meditation to a deeper level.

The sessions will be guided by Buddhist nun Gen Kelsang Tubchen who has over 20 years of experience and loves to share the benefits of meditation with others in an accessible way.

There are so many benefits to be had!

  • Stop stress, overwhelm and anger from building up
  • Intervene at an early stage when your mind is causing you suffering
  • Learn how to cope with grief, anxiety, depression and other difficult states of mind.
  • Experience daily peace & relaxation
  • Build an inner toolkit to help you as you journey through life

Following on from the free talk there is a six week meditation series designed to help you establish a regular practice of meditation and to increase your understanding of your mind.

During the day there will be a series of free meditation workshops, including one for children. There will be activities for kids throughout the day and families are very welcome. You can have a look around the centre, relax in the meditation room, enjoy home-made cake in the cafe, or browse in our bookshop for meditation books, audio guided meditations, meditation cushions and more.
