Uplifting guided meditations and talks based on Modern Buddhism with experienced Buddhist teachers.
Meditation is a simple, effective method to calm the mind and let go of stress, tension and worry. The classes are suited to those completely new to meditation as well as those wanting to deepen their meditation practice. Topics vary and include how to find greater freedom from negative thoughts and feelings, how to deepen our inner peace and find happiness within, as well as how to progress on an inner spiritual path that brings greater meaning to daily life.

Everyone is welcome, beginners and experienced meditators alike. No special clothes are required and seating is provided in chairs. Please bring a mat and cushion if you prefer to meditate seated on the floor.
Gen Kelsang Tubchen is the Resident Teacher of our centre. An inspiring and gifted teacher, she is loved for her clear, powerful and practical teachings. She has over 20 years of experience of engaging in, teaching and guiding retreats and has taught in both the Nordic region and the UK. Gen Tubchen teaches the weekend workshops and retreats in Inverness.
Tom Banks is the Teacher of the weekly classes in Inverness. Tom taught for many years in Aviemore and occasionally teaches at the centre in Aberdeen. He is an engaging teacher and people find his teachings enjoyable, practical and thought provoking and his guided meditations give you the opportunity to gain your own experience of the topics covered during the classes.
