Meditation is a simple, effective method to calm the mind and let go of stress, tension and worry. The classes are suited to those completely new to meditation as well as those wanting to deepen their meditation practice. Topics vary and include how to find greater freedom from negative thoughts and feelings, how to deepen our inner peace and find happiness within, as well as how to progress on an inner spiritual path that brings greater meaning to daily life.
We offer weekly classes and a Saturday morning courses several times throughout the year in Inverness.

Everyone is welcome, beginners and experienced meditators alike. No special clothes are required and seating is provided in chairs. Please bring a mat and cushion if you prefer to meditate seated on the floor.
Kelsang Yonchen is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Aberdeen. She has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism for many years and has been teaching for over 10 years.
Yonchen is known for her warm heart, practical wisdom, and clear, accessible teaching style that makes Buddha’s teachings easy to understand and apply in daily life.
Tom Banks is the teacher at our Inverness weekly class. As a long-term practitioner of meditation and Kadampa Buddhism, he shares a wealth of experience from his kind and open heart. Skilled at making the teachings practical and easy to understand, Tom can help everyone find peace of mind and inspiration through meditation.
