Monday Morning Meditation Class 11am-12.15pm

Finding Your Happy Life

In this course we will explore how meditation can help us to create new mental habits that keep our mind happy & peaceful. We will also discover how meditation can help us to break the cycle of any bad mental habits we have that undermine our happiness & wellbeing.

Of course one of the best habits we can develop is a daily meditation practice that will help us each day to be happy no matter what life throws at us. During each class you will be guided in two meditations and given encouragement to develop a regular meditation practice at home.

Buddha explains simple attitudes that we can all learn to cultivate that will make us really happy. On this course we will explore through teachings and guided the happy minds of contentment, gratitude, acceptance and joy.

Gen Tubchen

Gen Kelsang Tubchen is the Resident Teacher at KMC Aberdeen. An inspiring and gifted teacher who ordained as a Buddhist nun in 2003, she is loved for her warm heart, her caring attitude and her clear, powerful and practical teachings.

"Enjoyed today's class (again). I do really enjoy the breathing meditations, perhaps the simplest technique but definitely one of the best in my opinion. The mind does slowly settle into peace, and I really like how Gen Tubchen pointed out you can rest the mind IN that feeling when you arrive at it. I had never considered doing that before and always just maintained my focus on the breathing."
