Bounce Back from Stress Half Day Course – 11 Jun
“By practising meditation we will experience a calm, spacious feeling in our mind, and many of our usual problems will fall away.” Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
Anxiety, stress and overwhelm are increasingly common in our busy, modern world. These states of mind prevent us from experiencing peace and enjoying life. They also give rise to a lot of suffering including problems with our work, health and relationships.
Buddha’s timeless teachings offer a simple and yet profound alternative and teach us how to recognise and reduce our stress. Training in meditation is an extremely effective way to create inner space, prevent stress and experience real mental freedom. In this way many of our ordinary problems and difficulties fall away or at the very least become so much more manageable.
If we learn to respond to life’s challenges with a peaceful, positive attitude then not only can we bounce back from stress, but in the process we discover our true nature, which is infinitely calm, happy and stable. Then with this inner anchor of peace we can not just survive the stresses and strains of daily life but thrive right in the midst of them!
In this way we can learn to embrace life with clarity, inner strength, and profound peace.
