The perfect retreat getaway
Set in an idyllic retreat venue in tranquil surroundings facing the ocean. Between meditations you can enjoy walking by the sea and on the coastal path, sitting in the garden by the stream or wandering around the 17th Century historic harbour.
The power of silence
Normally we are constantly distracted by external objects, busy activities and scattered thoughts. Observing silence is a powerful method to disengage us from busyness and to deepen our contemplation and concentration. The retreat will include silent periods and participants are asked to switch off their phones for the duration of the retreat.
The retreat
Today it seems our modern world is in a state of flux, of change and chaos. Our world yearns for peace but seems unable to find the methods to create it. Given these uncertain times it is easy for us to become discouraged, fearful, anxious and at worst fall into despair.
Without inner peace, outer peace is impossible. Our world needs the methods to create inner peace through wisdom teachings.
In this retreat Gen Kelsang Tubchen will guide meditations and give profound teachings from pure ancient Buddhist origins that help us to experience peace from within our own mind. Guided by our natural source of peace we will gain confidence in bringing this stillness into our everyday life and activities.
We will also become familiar with connecting to the enlightened wisdom contained within Buddha’s teachings and connecting to the very source of these teachings through contemplation and meditation. Looking at our world through the eyes of wisdom will offer a vast transformative perspective.
These methods have unsurpassed profundity dissolving our despair and anxieties and allowing us to relate to our own limitless pure potential. In this way we can deepen our wisdom and draw closer to understanding the true nature of reality, allowing us to solve our problems and become truly happy.
The retreat begins on Friday with dinner at 6pm and first session at 7:30pm, and finishes at 4pm on Sunday.
