From Craving to Contentment – 11 Sept
Mareel, Lerwick – 7-8.30pm
Meditation workshop
Join us for an inspiring event that explores how we can free ourselves from the restless cycle of always wanting more. So often, we chase after things—possessions, achievements, approval—believing they will bring lasting happiness. But no matter how much we attain, true contentment often feels just out of reach. Why is that?
In this accessible and down-to-earth talk, you’ll learn how the mind’s habit of craving creates inner tension and keeps us stuck in patterns of frustration and dissatisfaction. More importantly, you’ll discover how to develop a more peaceful and fulfilled state of mind—one that doesn’t depend on external circumstances.
Through a blend of guided meditation and practical wisdom, this event offers simple yet powerful tools to help you find greater balance and ease in everyday life. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re new to meditation or looking to deepen your understanding of the mind.
“Always be content. If you practice contentment, even though you have no wealth, you are rich.” ~ Nagarjuna
