About the Teacher

The weekend will be led principally by international meditation teacher, Kadam Bridget Heyes, the UK National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition. Kadam Bridget is known for her powerful teachings, compassionate heart, and deep understanding of Buddha’s wisdom advice. Her teachings are exceptionally clear and she presents profound ideas in a way that are easy to practise and integrate into daily life.

The Introduction, morning meditations and chanted pujas are guided by Resident Teachers from the Scottish Centres.

Join us for this inspirational weekend with Kadam Bridget Heyes, the UK National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition.

For the first time in many years the Scottish Dharma Celebration will be held in Edinburgh, at Kadampa Meditation Centre in the heart of vibrant Leith.

During this very special weekend, Kadam Bridget Heyes will grant the blessing empowerment of Green Tara, which is a very special blessing and guided meditation to connect us with the female Buddha of wisdom.

An empowerment is a beautiful guided meditation through which we can make a deep connection with Budha Tara and her pure enlightened world.

Kadam Bridget will give teachings on how to use the rare and extraordinary Tara Transference of Consciousness practice at the time of our own or other’s deaths. This practice is only shared in the context of Dharma Celebrations so it is a precious opportunity to be introduced to this profound practice.

She will also give practical and insightful teachings on the power of following the Buddhist path to alleviate the fears and anxieties we all experience every day.  Other senior teachers from Scotland will give the introduction and guide the meditations.

Altogether the Scottish Dharma Celebration is a unique opportunity for meditation practitioners from across Scotland to enjoy a feast of Dharma teachings and practice together and to make strong spiritual connections with each other.  Everyone is welcome to come along regardless of your level of experience, to receive inspiration and enjoy a special weekend which will leave you feeling relaxed and spiritually re-energised.

Don’t miss this special opportunity to gather together with other Kadampa practitioners from across Scotland at our sister centre in Edinburgh.

The main day is the Saturday, so come for the day or stay overnight for one or two nights and make a weekend of it!

Everyone is Welcome 🙂
