Purifying Past Negativity – Vajrasattva Retreat

Retreat in Aberdeen | Fri 12- Sun 14 Dec

Do you find it difficult to make progress in your meditation practice?
Have negative habits you find hard to shift or find teachings confusing and obscure?
Do you find the same painful situations keep arising, in different circumstances?

Buddha taught the law of karma, explaining that all our experiences of suffering comes from negative actions in the past…both in this life and over countless previous lives.

Through the profound but simple practice of meditation and reciting mantras of Buddha Vajrasattva, we can learn how to purify all our negativity, opening the way for real progress on our spiritual path.

The retreat will begin with a clear introduction on Friday evening, explaining why and how to engage in the practice. (also livestreamed to members)

The following sessions (in person only) will consist of a brief teaching, guided and silent meditations, prayers and mantra recitation. We will be using the prayer booklet, Meditation and Recitation of Solitary Vajrasattva.

The sea is a short walk away and the day is structured to include time for quietly contemplating, discussing the topics with others, eating together & walking in nature.

If you wish to come to the whole retreat, it’s possible to stay at the Premier Inn next door for a very reasonable rate. It is also possible to attend individual sessions.
