Free Event  – Be Kind to Your Mind – Thurs 5 Sept

Do you feel sometimes you could take better care of your inner world?  Would you like to cope better or feel more relaxed?

As part of our commitment to mental health and well-being we are delighted to be hosting a free meditation event in Elgin this autumn with Buddhist nun and experienced teacher Gen Kelsang Tubchen.

Everyone can benefit from meditation and meditation has many levels.  Come along to find out how you can get started with meditation and how to build in regular time for quiet meditation as part of caring for your own mind.

There are so many benefits to be had!

  • Stop stress, overwhelm and anger from building up
  • Intervene at an early stage when your mind is causing you suffering
  • Learn how to cope with grief, anxiety, depression and other difficult states of mind.
  • Experience daily peace & relaxation
  • Build an inner toolkit to help you as you journey through life

Following on from the free talk there is a six week meditation series with Buddhist teacher Jon Hall designed to help you establish a regular practice of meditation and to increase your understanding of your mind.

Everyone is welcome

Finding Life’s Balance – 6 week series begins 13 Sept

Do you feel like your life is lacking in balance and going from one extreme to another?  Do you find yourself experiencing unbalanced states of mind or worrying about your mental health?

When we look at the world we can usually distinguish between positive and negative situations.  However it can be much more difficult to distinguish between helpful and unhelpful states of mind.

In this six week course we will take some time to get to know our own mind and explore both positive and negative minds that help or hinder our life.

By learning to recognise and reduce our suffering states of mind and how to cultivate and stabilise our wise states of mind we can find a balanced happiness that is independent of changing external situations.

In this way we can deeply improve our mental health and well-being.  We can find real inner freedom and peace and bring a lasting stability to our inner world that will benefit both ourself and those around us.

Join us for this illuminating 6 week course and discover how through Buddha’s wisdom we can gradually bring our life into balance through the power of meditation.
