Antidotes to Anxiety 20 June – Free!

Mareel, Lerwick – 7-9pm

A Free meditation workshop!

Relax your mind with meditation and discover a simple and yet profound alternative to the experiences of anxiety and stress that are so common in our modern lifestyle.

In our fast paced world, with all of its challenges, many people struggle with difficult states of mind such as worry, overwhelm, stress and anxiety. These can come at any point in life and lead to physical, emotional and social problems. Fortunately there are practical meditation techniques to recognise, reduce and let go of anxiety in all its various forms and to find the peace, joy and inner ease that we long for.

This course will help us to better understand our anxiety, and how through training in meditation we can discover new ways of thinking, feeling and responding to prevent anxiety from taking hold.

We can also learn preventative techniques to help us deal with challenges in the future so can intervene at an early stage and prevent anxiety from developing or taking hold.
