NKT Day Special Event – 7 April

Sunday 7 April 2:15pm – 3:15pm

The first Saturday in April is set aside to commemorate the founding of New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union by Venerable Geshe Kelsang in 1991.

The occasion is marked by special events and by pujas and dedications at Kadampa centers worldwide.

Here in Aberdeen we will have a daycourse in the morning, click here for more information,  followed by a community lunch available in the cafe.  At 2:15pm we will watch an inspiring video in the cafe and Gen Tubchen and Kelsang Konchog will share a few words about the developments within Kadampa Buddhism.

Above all, we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe Kelsang in founding NKT-IKBU and spend time reflecting on his compassionate vision for the flourishing of Kadam Dharma throughout the world so that all living beings might quickly find permanent inner peace.

All Welcome!
